The Rookie was designed as an addition to your modeling activities for your children or wives to keep them from getting bored with you on the field.
They can just throw it around like a thrower and when they get bored you give them the transmitter.
For example, you can mark out the landing area and the take-off line on the pad for them.
Or you can tow them behind almost any epp model 1 to 3 at a time.
They can then compete to see who lands last.
During the tow, the Rookie doesn't have to steer at all, just disengage by fully pulling the elevator when altitude is reached.
Don't have a suitable model for towing at hand? No problem, the Rookie is easily towed on a rubber band folded
made of about 5m of 3x1 rubber and 20-30m of Kevlar thread (silon) finished with a ring (for keys).
And now you have time to work on your own model, because with the Rokkie model you don't have to worry about letting
to fly anyone without your supervision. Due to its extra light weight and stability, the risk of damage is minimal.
The possibilities are endless, it's up to your imagination.
But you can have fun with it too, the Rookie is very sensitive to thermals and you can "dial in" even very weak thermal "climbs" low to the ground.
To get it working you will need 2x 6g servos (Volta D6M), 1s LiPol around 600mAh (Tattu 1s 600), transmitter with micro receiver and about 1h to build.
We recommend the FS i6 transmitter with FS2A receiver. The transmitter is lightweight and feels good in the kids hand. This kit costs less than a branded receiver.
If you do not dare to solder the receiver pins yourself, we will be happy to help you with this on request.
We wish you a lot of fun!
